1. Drive more efficiently or take transit: Depending on the size of your car, you could be reducing a ton or two or more of carbon dioxide a year by combining trips, mapping out your trip and opting for public transit when possible. You can also fit in aerobic exercise and enjoy the fresh air by walking or biking.
2. Ditch your old bulbs: Compact fluorescent light bulbs and light-emitting diode (LED) bulbs are available for more energy-efficient lighting, which reduces your carbon footprint by using one-third or less of the energy. A single bulb could save you around $40 or more over its lifetime.
3. Stop the junk mail: It's estimated that clearing forests for junk mail produces as much greenhouse gas emissions as 9 million cars. You can dramatically reduce your junk mail through the service of our nonprofit partner 41pounds, which will contact dozens of mailing companies to remove your name from lists, including catalogs you specify. The cost is $41 for you or a household for five years, and 41pounds will donate $15 to Carbonfund.org to support our carbon reduction efforts. Sign up now.
4. Eat fresh: When life gets hectic, it may be easy on you to rely mostly on prepackaged foods for meals, but it can take a toll on the environment. Start the new year with a resolution to plan some meals drawn from locally sourced food. Make this commitment easy by joining a farm co-op or getting local produce from your market.
5. Go carbon neutral: Make reducing your carbon footprint an integral part of your life by committing to reduce what you can and offset what you can't this year to support third-party validated projects that are reducing emissions globally. Check out Carbonfund.org's calculators to reduce your climate impact from your home, travel or business and consider going carbon neutral as a ZeroCarbon™ individual or family in support of our innovative projects.

Eco-friendly Office Products, a simple guide in helping to find them.
Finding Eco-Friendlyt office products has never been easier. We at http://www.eco-bailbonds.com/ have dedicated a small team whose sole responsibility is to find eco-friendly products that one can use not only in the office but in the home as well. As a bail bonding company operating in Long Beach Ca we are using our fare share of office supplies and we know how frustrating it can be when a small business tries to make a difference by using eco-friendly products but has a hard time in finding retailers for such products.
Well we at http://www.eco-bailbonds.com// are happy to announce that major office supply stores are now carrying those environmentally safe products we have been looking. We have found that stores like Staples and Office depot are now carrying more eco-friendly products. Big box names such as Office Depot have recently launched a Buy Green Portal which is used to find “green products”. We have also found that there are more online web suppliers of these same eco-friendly supplies. If you have any suppliers of green products you would like to add please add comments to this blog or call directly at 562-435-6777

TIPS FOR BUSINESSES LOOKING TO BECOME MORE GREEN
As an Eco-Bail Bonding company in Long Beach working for http://eco-bailbonds.com/ the following are some tips that we have found to be helpful in our bail offices for maintaining a recycle program:
1. Form an "Eco-Team" - You should approach the project of recycling as group or team. As a team ideas and energy will be created to ensure the project continues to move forward and new ideas and energy can be created from the team environment. The team will also help to create motivational factors to prevent others from losing interest.
2. Determine items for recycling - Take inventory of all the solid waste you use in your business from a day to day basis. Have multiple receptacles on hand to sort out your solid trash. The following are some common items we have found in our office:
4. Have weakly drop of times - Make a day of the weak or for smaller companies maybe a time of the month when you will take the collected material to drop off points. A list of drop of points can often be obtained from your local city hall.
5. Educate, Educate, Educate- The more you talk about it the more that gets done. We have found that educating staff is a great motivator of good recycling habits. People generally want to help they just need to be taught good recycling behaviour. The more your staff knows the more they will participates.
6. Motivate - If you see co-worker not participating or just forgetting to participate, give them a friendly reminder. A friendly reminder is sometimes needed when we get busy in our work day.
7. Spread the "Good Word" - Let others know of your efforts, when people see the differences you are making in your day to help the environment they will be curious, wanting to know more. Always practice what you preach
8. Don't Quit - Have your "Eco-Team" keep up with current recycling methods and efforts. An informed team will stay motivated and focused, motivating others.
Remember, everything we do has an impact in our environment. The changes we make today can and will effect our tomorrow!

What is an Eco-Bail Bonding Company and why do we claim to be one?
We at Eco-BailBonds.com are an internet branch of All American Bail Bonds http://allamericanbailbonds.net/, we have a physical location located across the street from the Long Beach Police Department at 421 W. Broadway #2106 Long Beach Ca 90802. The ownership Jeff and Inessa Chavez have always strived not only to be the best in what they do but also to be the most creative as well as beacon for others to follow. In 2009 Jeff and Inessa made a personal decision within in their family to have less of an impact within their environment. Father of 3 Jeff tells me that making the simple decision to be more mindful within their household is what really made him want to change the way All American Bail Bonds does business. One common question we here at Eco-BailBonds.com is. Why didn’t you guys just change the way you work at All American? Why did you have to start a whole new branch of your already successful bail bonding company? My response was Jeff’s response to me when I asked him, to show people that companies can make a difference. We could have avoided the much added costs in branching out into a new company, but then how would people know? By creating Eco-Bailbonds.com we have shown our dedication in attempting to start a new type of bail bonding company, one where we will make less of impact.
The second question we often receive is what makes you so environmentally friendly? Is it just a name?, or are there actions as well. The following is list of everything we at Eco-BailBonds.com and All American Bail Bonds do to make a positive difference in the world around us.
1. We have vowed to donate a portion of all Bail written to non-profit organizations who will reduce our environmental impact by offsetting our carbon foot by planting trees (Reforestation) or supporting alternative energy methods (Renewable Energy).
2. The ownership is proud to announce they now offer “e-Paperwork” or “Paperless Paperwork.” Simply defined our bail agents now carry tablet type notebooks, all paperwork will be filled out in a specially designed forms which the customer can sign directly on the display of the notebook computer and then we can email them directly to their email address or even wireless phone. If the customer does not wish to receive the email documents and they prefer to receive actual paper work than our agents do carry mobil printers to which they can print the signed documents. Even if the customer opts to have the printed documents we will still cut down our paperwork by a minimum of 50%
3. When printing is necessary we do everything in our power to use only recycled paper and other recyclable printing products.
4. In each and every one of our offices we recycle everything possible. e.g.: aluminum cans, phone books, cardboard, used paper, ink cartridges, plastic food containers, shopping bags, etc.
5. We have a small fleet of more efficient 4 cylinder vehicles and have plans to switch to hybrids once the cost comes down.
The above list of 5 changes does not truly show the dedication of our company, we know as a bail bonding company we potentially have a huge impact on the environment. If you were to look at our trash bins 2 years ago as compared to today you would see a huge difference in waste. We know these changes may be small and the cost involved may not be paid back for years, but we as a prosperous bail bonding company know it is now our responsibility to start the change. To date of this blog entry we know of no other bonding company anywhere with claims to be as proactive as us. We look forward to all others following suit in helping our industry convert to a more ECO-Friendly Bail Bonding Industry!

10 ways to reduce your carbon foot print, by Eco-Bail Bondsman in Long Beach CA.
You have replaced the light bulbs in your house with long-life CFC (compact fluorescent) bulbs, switched to energy-efficient appliances and are responsibly recycling your waste, but want to do more. Here are some additional tips to reduce your carbon footprint.
1. When traveling by air, bring less baggage and pack lighter. Planes flying with excess baggage use more fuel.
2. Read the Long Beach Press Telegram and other magazines online to save trees and reduce waste.
3. Use cold water instead of heated water to wash and rinse clothes, hands as often as you can.
4. Stop and open the dishwasher before the drying cycle and let the dishes try naturally.
5. When using zip-Lock Bags, clean and reuse to prevent waste
6. Use collected rainwater and “gray” waste water to water your garden.
7. Switch to clean, renewable energy to reduce the overall environmental impact of your home. Cooling and heating account for over 70% of energy used in the home.
8. Use hand towels and fabric napkins, if you must use paper towels use recycled, instead of regular paper ones.
9. Plant a tree or donate to plant a tree. This is one of the best things you can do for the environment. Trees breathe in CO2 and breathe out oxygen.
10. Call http://www.eco-bailbonds.com/ when your in need of a Bail Bonding Service in the Lakewood and Long Beach are. We have vowed to reduce all paperwaste and donate a portion of all bail written to carbonfund.org
